Software Engineer – Java/Python/AI (Work‑From‑Home)
Job Overview We are looking for a Software Engineer – Java/Python/AI to support and contribute to the development of backend systems and AI‑enabled applications. This role is ideal for engineers who already have hands‑on development experience and are ready to take on greater responsibility while continuing to grow under mentorship. You will work closely with senior engineers and cross‑functional teams to develop, enhance, and maintain production‑ready software and AI‑driven features.

AI / Machine Learning & Generative AI Foundational to practical understanding of AI and machine learning concepts Experience using Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, or scikit‑learn Exposure to Large Language Models (LLMs) and prompt engineering concepts Basic familiarity with RAG concepts, vector databases, or DSPy is a plus Interest or experience in integrating AI/ML features into applications
Deployment, DevOps & Cloud Experience or exposure to deploying applications to development or production environments Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and build tools Basic experience with Docker or containerized applications is an advantage

About the Role
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build, and continuously improve our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and reliability practices. This role is hands-on and leadership-focused, enabling secure, scalable, and highly reliable software delivery. This position is full-time, remote, and based in the Philippines, employed under Philippine labor laws as part of our Philippine subsidiary supporting a US-based parent company.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processesBuild, automate, and manage cloud infrastructure and deployment platformsImplement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to improve deployment reliabilityMonitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production and system issuesCollaborate with engineering teams and promote DevOps best practicesLead technical improvements and mentor other engineersParticipate in a planned PagerDuty on-call rotation to support production systemsWhen assigned to on-call duty, acknowledge and respond to incidents within defined service-level timeframes (typically ranging from 30 minutes to 2 hours)On-call duties and work performed outside regular working hours are compensated in accordance with Philippine labor laws and company policy
Qualifications
At least five (5) years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or a related roleStrong understanding of Linux/Unix systems and networking fundamentalsHands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or AnsibleStrong experience with AWS (Azure experience is a plus)Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or similarExperience with CI/CD pipelines and full-stack application deploymentsFamiliarity with Git and modern version control workflowsExperience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools such as DatadogHands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools including Docker and KubernetesFamiliarity with RunDeck or similar automation platformsExperience using AI-enabled automation or insights to improve DORA metricsStrong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
Working Conditions
Work Arrangement: Fully remote (Philippines-based)Work Schedule: Regular business hours with flexibility to support global operationsOn-Call Support: Participation in an on-call rotation as required; all actual work performed outside regular hours is compensated in accordance with Philippine labor laws
Employment Terms
Employment is governed by Philippine labor laws and applicable DOLE regulations.
