  • Primary Responsibilities:
    Assist in developing the annual Public Relations, advertising, and media plan in coordination with the Director of Communications.Maintain and update records of media contacts and journalists.Maintain a mailing list of former and existing clients.Assist with internal meetings and liaise with relevant stakeholders.Distribute English press releases.Report important news and major competitor coverage to the Director of Communications immediately.Submit English news updates for the Lobby Magazine to Corporate Communications at the Corporate Office.Attend internal and external social events.Translate key news and press clippings between English.Arrange press conferences and interviews as needed.Handle correspondence when required.Manage press releases, select news, and relevant photographs for PR exposure.Prepare news publicity for the MIS report.Provide monthly updates and comparisons of news releases among competing hotels.Write F&B promotional materials in both English.Maintain a regular schedule for press and client visits.Collaborate with the Director of Communications to develop PR and advertising plans for the entertainment complex.Work closely with the Event Manager to coordinate social events in the entertainment complex.Entertain guests as assigned by the Director of Communications.Develop and maintain relationships with Manila-based media outlets, influencers, and sponsors.Plan, execute, and monitor public relations activities, including press releases and media events.Manage marketing campaigns, from conceptualization to execution and post-campaign analysis.Coordinate special events and sponsorship activities.Ensure all content, assets, and activities comply with brand guidelines.

  • Oversees all domestic and international media relations and outreach functions including: developing, planning and strategic oversight of domestic and international public relations to promote the hotel.Develops PR strategy for the hotel and implements ongoing, focused media and community relations programs, keeping the hotel’s positioning and brand top of mind.Provides leadership and supervision in public relation operations and monitors press outreach, media events, media calls, collateral, crisis communications support and press material development.Creates newsworthy promotions and story ideas to include F&B, spa, family, leisure, weddings, group and other topics that are relevant to the hotel.Promotes promotions or events.Maintains strong media relations with local and regional journalists and pitches hotel efforts. Keeps abreast of consumer and trade media interests in order to better capitalize on opportunities for publicity. Responds and serves as a primary spokesperson for media inquiries. Reviews and supervises media releases, marketing collaterals, as well as social media and web content produced by staff, agencies and contractors. Manages distribution of media releases.Develops and maintains hotel’s media materials and website.Creates media personalities within the hotel’s staff – i.e. GM, chefs, concierge, etc. to generate positive exposure for the hotel. Trains staff as needed to appear on camera or be interviewed.Stays current on destination promotional efforts, and hosts journalists at the hotel when appropriate.Develops relationships with organizations and businesses within key markets that support and enhance PR efforts.Liaises with onsite contacts about media visits and requests.Manages all media enquiries, press visits and onsite productions.Monitors all forms of media (TV, radio, online, social media and print), reports on media mentions and shares best media coverage.Becomes an advocate of the company by nurturing relationships with key influencers in the community to maximize reach of local PR.Provides communications counsel to senior management, helping to enhance the hotel's success by applying proactive and reactive communications strategy, including crisis communications. Responsible for media relations in the event of a crisis at the hotel. Prepares and keeps crisis plan current.Promotes positive relations with guests and employees.Attends designated trade shows whenever required to promote the hotel’s image. Produces a monthly report on a timely basis for the general manager and corporate office.Appraises the performance of Communication personnel in managerial level periodically according to Human Resources’ policy and initiates appropriate corrective measures to improve deficiencies.Manages the department to ensure sufficiency of manpower in accordance to volume of business.Develops and maintains departmental budget.Works closely with Marketing and Operations teams to provide strategic counsel and input.Acts as Manager on Duty or assigns appropriate executives to be on duty when required.Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing.
